Sierra Pacific Industries Foundation Donates $2,500 to Calaveras Community Foundation

CCF President, Paul Stein receives 2011 donation from Sierra Pacific Industries Community Relations Manager, Mark Luster

Sierra Pacific Industries Foundation has recently donated $2,500 to the Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF).

CCF President, Paul Stein accepted this generous donation from Mark Luster, Community Relations Manager for Sierra Pacific Industries Foundation.  Mr. Luster states “The Sierra Pacific Foundation recognizes the vital work of the Calaveras Community Foundation and the fundamental role it plays in this community by providing active and positive programs for youth, seniors and other residents of our county.”

As the Foundation begins year 12, financial supporters like SPI allow CCF to continue to distribute grants and scholarships to groups within our county that focus on youth, seniors, the arts and education.  Since inception in 2001, CCF has provided more than $575,000 in grants, scholarships and assistance.

“We are very grateful to Sierra Pacific Industries for their ongoing commitment to the Calaveras Community Foundation, Stein said.  The SPI partnership is of great benefit to the Calaveras community and allows the Foundation to continue to impact the lives of area residents.  Working towards a common goal of improving the lives of area residents is a constant for both CCF & SPI.”

Like many community foundations, CCF is taking decisive action in 2012 to aggressively meet the emerging charitable needs of residents of Calaveras County.  This ongoing effort is intended to enrich the quality of life of CCF’s grant/scholarship recipients now and into the future.  Continued financial support of donors like Sierra Pacific Industries allows this to happen.
