CCF Presents Scholarship to Marissa Earl of Wilseyville

The Calaveras Community Foundation Presents Scholarship to Marissa Earl of Wilseyville

The Beth E. Childs/ Genna Hurst Renewable Scholarship administered by the Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) was presented to Marissa Earl during the Senior Awards Assembly at Calaveras High School on June 1, 2011.

Marissa is the daughter of John Earl and Melissa Cortez-Earl of Wilseyville, CA. She plans to pursue a career in nursing or law enforcement. She will enroll at Delta College initially and later transfer to a California University. For fun, Marissa plays soccer and rides her dirt bike.

Since the scholarship’s inception in 2000, the Foundation has awarded $48,000 for this program. Amounting to $4,000, this scholarship has been given annually to a graduating student at Calaveras High School residing in the West Point/Wilseyville area.
