In her essay, Liliana shares her passion for the medical field and currently volunteers at the Silver Oak Medical offices in San Andreas.  Through the ROP Medical Program Liliana learned the basics of health care and is very passionate about her dream of becoming a pediatrician. Upon achieving her medical degree, she hopes to travel to rural countries in the world to aid children and families in need of medical assistance and care.

The Foundation has awarded $52,000 for this program since the scholarship’s inception in 2000.  This scholarship (a 4-year $4,000 renewable scholarship) is awarded annually to a graduating student residing in the West Point/ Wilseyville area.
