Calaveras Community Foundation Adds Sarah Lunsford to Board of Directors (September 2019)
Sarah Lunsford recently was welcomed to the CCF Board of Directors.
Sarah has been a fulltime member of the Calaveras Community for over twenty years. Coming to the area for a great many years prior to that, this almost makes her a Calaveras County native.
Writing articles about a wide variety of topics ranging from government, travel and local happenings, she has shared her talents as a freelance journalist. Although, Sarah still takes writing assignments, she is now focusing her time on her real estate career. She brings her vast social media talents and expertise to the CCF Board to incorporate new ideas and approaches to the day-to-day successes the Board has enjoyed.
Sarah has worked at the local Calaveras County Public Access TV Studio where she has served in various capacities for the past sixteen years. A behind-the-scenes type of volunteer, Sarah has sat on many local boards including the Ebbetts Pass Veterans Memorial District Board for a decade with an eye to making the Murphys Park Veterans Memorial a reality. The Calaveras Visitors Bureau Board had the benefit of her experience. Sarah believes that communities are made stronger through involvement and is honored to sit on the Calaveras Community Foundation Board.
Calaveras Community Foundation, soon to celebrate 20 years, is very proud of accomplishments made during that time. As of August 2019, more than $2,400,000 has been distributed and awarded in scholarships, awards and assistance to Calaveras residents and students.
